The Road To The RBC Cup - Update

For those of us who are firmly entrenched in the middle of Junior A Hockey this winter, I plan to keep updated on the standings of the top Junior A Teams across the country. I would like to have a bit of an idea who the strongest teams are in the Junior A world, so that when Cornwall hosts the RBC Cup (the Stanley Cup of Canadian Junior A hockey) in May 2008 I feel a little bit smart.
The Canadian Junior A Hockey League announced today its Top 15 rankings for the week of October 21st to October 27th. Last week’s rankings and the leagues in which the teams belong to are in parenthesis.
The CJAHL Top 15 as of Saturday, October 27th

Honorable mention goes to the Penticton Vees (BCHL), Olds Grizzlys (AJHL), Fort McMurray Oil Barons (AJHL), Estevan Bruins (SJHL), Dauphin Kings (MJHL), Dryden Ice Dogs (SIJHL), St. Michael’s Buzzers (OPJHL), Vaughan Vipers (OPJHL), Smiths Falls Bears (CJHL), Brockville Braves (CJHL), Les Condors de Kahnawake (LHJAAAQ), and the Truro Bearcats (MJAHL).
The rankings are based upon a variety of factors which includes the league in which the teams belong to, their winning percentage, their win-loss record, total points accumulated, their goals-for versus goals-against ratio, amongst other factors.
