Upper Canada Village Alight At Night

With the snow we have had already this winter, the Alight At Night Festival at Upper Canada Village is even more beautiful than in previous years! The added attractions have certainly been popular as well.

Skating Under the Stars
New: EZ Glide Outdoor Rink
Get ready to lace-up for a skating experience in a spectacular outdoor setting at the Village's Town Square, with holiday music, hot drinks and snacks. The artificial skating surface of the EZ Glide Rink is first of its kind to be used in the Canadian outdoors!
Offered nightly ~ $3 per person (4 & under FREE)
Bring your own sharpened skates ~ limited skate rentals available. Skate rentals are $5 per hour. A $50 deposit is required.

Take a Trip on the Toy Train!
Hop on board the Toy Train, illuminated by a multitude of lights, and take a round trip through Crysler Park where you'll see dazzling new light displays all along the way, with a special surprise this year featuring some of the hand-crafted characters from the Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival, courtesy of Ontario Place.

Rides depart nightly every half hour, with the last ride at 8:30. Limited seating available. Tickets can be bought ahead at the Train Station just outside Upper Canada Village for same night departures.

Train Fares: $3.50 Adult / $2.50 Youth (5-12)* / $1.00 Child (2-4)*

Come In For Dinner at ... T
he Harvest Barn Step out of the cold and into the Harvest Barn located along Albert Street in Upper Canada Village, and you will find warm-you-up food and beverages, including a dinner special offered nightly. For more information, or to make reservations, call 613-543-0660.

The Upper Canadian Cookhouse Before or after your visit to Alight at Night, plan to dine in the comfortable surroundings of the Upper Canadian Cookhouse (at the Upper Canada Golf Course), now open nightly throughout the festival. Located across the highway from Upper Canada Village.

New This Year! The Upper Canadian Cookhouse is also open for festive SUNDAY BREAKFAST BRUNCHES from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 16 and 23, 2007. For more information, or to make reservations, call 613-543-2035.

Both the Harvest Barn and Upper Canadian Cookhouse welcome group bookings of 20 or more for banquets or parties.

Take Home Bread from the Village Bakery. Step inside and enjoy the warmth and aromas of fresh oven-baked bread made at the Village Bakery. Bread will be available for purchase at the Village Store while quantities last.

Have a souvenir photo taken with Santa, who will be visiting the Store on the evenings of November 29-December 2, December 6-9, December 13-16 and December 18-23. The cost of a photo is $9.99 for an 8x10 print, and you can choose any combination of image size(s) that will fit onto the page. Maximum 5 people plus Santa per photo.

Evenings of Christmas Carol Singing
Step inside the beautifully lit Christ Church at Upper Canada Village and join in the singing of Christmas carols on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during Alight at Night.
