Kinsmen Lift Off To Feature Specialty Balloons

The Board of Directors of Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off are pleased to announce that the 2008 Festival will include 25 hot air balloons, two of which are special shapes. The special shape hot air balloons that will be floating above the City of Cornwall and the surrounding area are Bud-E-Beaver and Woodrow, a Giant Tree. Special shape balloons are often the stars of the show at any balloon festival. Some retain a more traditional shape whereas others are far more extravagant.

“The special shape balloons will certainly add even more excitement to the festival this year,” said Festival Chair Chris Savard, “Along with a great line-up of entertainment, the special shape balloons will make Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off 2008 the best yet!”

In addition to an extensive balloon roster, on Friday, May 2nd the Board of Directors of Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off 2008 announced an impressive line-up of entertainment that will perform in Lamoureux Park, including headliners Dennis DeYoung, an original STYX vocalist, Theory of a Deadman and back for an encore performance are Glass Tiger.

This year’s festival will be held July 10-13th in Cornwall’s scenic Lamoureux Park and it is anticipated that the 2008 festival will attract between 50,000 to 55,000 spectators from Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Northern New York State.
