Christmas Tree Lighting At Cooper Marsh
Candy Pollard
The Cooper Marsh Conservators (CMC) invite you to join them for “Christmas at the Marsh”.
Everyone is encouraged to join in on the Christmas carols, both English and French renditions, led by the energetic musical folklore group, Gailuron. Come and enjoy the seasonal children’s stories and warm up with a steaming cup of coffee to compliment the cakes and cookies. Hot chocolate will be provided for the children. An outdoor campfire will even be available for roasting marshmallows.
According to CMC Chair Dan Bobka, “The event is always well attended and it’s a great opportunity for folks to discover what Cooper Marsh Conservation Area & its Visitors Centre has to offer.” He added that “Members themselves always enjoy this event and are happy to discuss their efforts to protect this picturesque location in our community.”
The 2008 Eco-photo contest winners will also be announced, and the awards will be presented as well - so mark your calendar today:
Friday the 5th of December 2008
at Cooper Marsh Conservation Area and Visitors Centre
from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Remember! Cooper Marsh is “Ours to protect” and “Ours to enjoy” and “Ours to share”.
