Eco Photo Contest
Candy Pollard
Spring is here. The birds are singing, the frogs will be calling and the wild flowers will be coming into bloom.
The Cooper Marsh Conservators (CMC) are encouraging everyone to come out and experience it for themselves. Bring your camera and take part in the 2009 Eco-Photo contest embracing the theme of “ours to protect”.
This year the contest begins on the 18th of April, 2009. All photos must be taken at Cooper Marsh and submitted prior to the 31st of October 2009. Participate in the “Youth” (16 years of age and under as of the 1st of April 2009) of the “Open” (all ages) category.
Each photo must be accompanied by a short commentary or description (in prose or in verse) highlighting how the theme has been “captured” in the photograph.
Entry forms are available at all S.D. & G. County Libraries, the Cooper Marsh Visitors’ Centre located at the Marsh and at the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) administration building at Gray’s Creek Conservation Area & Marina Complex. Entries can be dropped off at these same locations.
Remember! Cooper Marsh is “Ours to protect” and “Ours to enjoy” and “Ours to share”.
