Beacon 50 - Festival of Lost Lights

Come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Each night a Riverfront "Beacon" will light the sky and honour the villages lost by the Seaway Project.

Schedule of Events June 26 Kick Off Bonfire at Lost Villages Museum in Long Sault - 6 pm to 11 pm featuring live music with Mayor McGillis and Friends, museum tours, charity BBQ, beer garden and beacon ceremony

June 27 BBQ Chicken Dinner at Christ Church in Long Sault - 4 to 6 pm

June 27 - Beacon 50 Live at the Ingleside Shopping Plaza 6:30 pm to 1 am - featuring AM-FM's 60's, rock and roll followed by Daisytrain's tribute to classic 80's rock. All ages show, food vendors, boot-drive, and beer garden. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the party!

June 28 is Family Day at

June 29th the Lost Villages Museum hosts a Ghost of the Lost Villages Tour at 6:30 pm - pre-registration is required for tours - call 613-534-2240

June 29th is movie night at Farran Park in Ingleside - 8:30 to 11:30 pm - with a 40ft scrren showing "Indiana Jones", food vendors, beacon ceremony. Bring a blanket or chair. In the event of inclement weather the alternate location with the the Long Sault arena

June 30 is Agriculture Day at the Long Sault Arena from 8am to 5 pm - farmer's market, trade show, inflatable rides, horse drawn wagon rides, beef raffle and BBQ lunch. Ceremony at 12:30 with guest the Miniter of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Honourable Leona Dombrowsky

July 1 - Canada Day celebrations at the Lost Villages Museum from 10 am to 4 pm

July 1 - Tournament day at Grumpy's Bar & Grill - to register a team for volleyball or softball phone Dave at 613-534-3959 - entertainment and beer garden all day long

July 1 - Fireworks and Beacon ceremony at the Long Sault Waterfront at 8:30 pm
