Flavours of Autumn At Upper Canada Village

Starting Labour Day weekend through Thanksgiving, Upper Canada Village will be dishing up a colourful “Flavours of Autumn” series of heritage fall weekend events and visitors are invited to come celebrate the harvest season by participating in some good old-fashioned fun. The great news is, visitors can take full advantage of these fall celebrations with an incredible low-price, two-day pass being offered for each event. From a music festival to a fall fair, from a fall gardening event to a weekend all about quilts, there’ll be something of appeal for all ages, not to mention the fun-for-families festivities planned for Thanksgiving Weekend.

All “Flavours of Autumn” events are included in the regular admission to the Village. The special low-price two-day admission to visit Upper Canada Village during these weekend events offers visitors outstanding value at ONLY $20 per adult/senior plus gst (a savings of $17.90 per adult). The weekend deal will be extended to students/youths for only $10 per person, and children 2 to 4 will pay only $5 for the 2-days. Fall specials will also be offered at the Village Store for further savings. The “FLAVOURS OF AUTUMN” series of events at Upper Canada Village include:

• QUILT SHOW
Saturday & Sunday, September 26th and 27th
Quilting guilds from across Eastern Ontario will be showcasing their finest works at the Village’s Family Activity Centre. Other activities include an 1860s Quilting Bee, displays of the Village’s own quilt collection, quilt talks from noted guest speakers, a merchant’s mall and quilt appraisals.

• THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th
Upper Canada Village offers the perfect time and place to celebrate this festive holiday, with special hands-on harvest activities, artisan demonstrations, and old-fashioned family games. These “Flavours of Autumn” weekend events reflect the St. Lawrence Parks Commission's continuing efforts to celebrate Canadian heritage as it strives to engage, enrich, entertain, and educate visitors.
