Ontario Hiking Week Begins October 4th

In short, an afternoon of family fun to take place rain or shine! The Raisin Region Conservation Authority invites you to join the staff and volunteers to discover the ecological treasures found along the more than 7 km of picturesque hiking trails that Charlottenburgh Park has to offer. Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 4th, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All participants will assemble at the gazebo in the beach & picnic area at 2:00 p.m.
Charlottenburgh Park located off Old Highway 2 between Summerstown and Lancaster, is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including some valued species at risk. The entire family is invited to enjoy the informative interpretation of nature by the RRCA staff.
In addition; Charlottenburgh Park seasonal camping will be coming to an end this year on Thanksgiving weekend. Now is the time to reserve your site for the 2010 summer season. Registration forms are available at the Park’s gatehouse or at the office of the Raisin Region Conservation Authority located at Gray’s Creek Conservation Area & Marina Complex.
