Jancis Sommerville, Special Events Officer commented, “We are so fortunate to have such a great location right on the St. Lawrence River and we really want to celebrate it and encourage people to be more active both in and on the water as well as through other activities here at Crysler Park Marina. The River Rush event really offers something for all ages from the musical entertainment on Friday night and through the day on Saturday, the professional acts we are bringing in including the Extreme Trampoline Show (Saturday only) and the Krusher Stunt Team from Montreal who will perform a ProStunt BMX In-Line/Skateboard Show (Sunday afternoon) to the numerous family activities such as a Rock Climbing Wall, racing Remote Control Cars and Boats or the Airborne Disc Dogs Club of Ottawa. The variety is amazing! Thanks to funding from Celebrate Ontario, we were able to introduce River Rush this year.”
Tim Robins, Harbour Master, Crysler Park Marina - “Over the past three years we have made investments into upgrading our infrastructure here at the Marina adding more dockage capacity, the new Marker 72 Dockside Patio and now we are looking to offer more things to do while here at the Marina. But our facilities aren’t just for our boaters. We encourage all visitors to stay at our Instant Campsites, have a drink or meal at the Patio or to try out our new stand-up paddle boards one of the latest trends, paddle boats or canoes and kayaks. We hope that our new event River Rush will bring a lot of new people here so they can experience for themselves what a wonderful facility we have here.”
