Support for Sport Tournaments & Meetings/Conventions
The sport tournament, meeting and convention market is very important to our communities. As part of the Destination Marketing Partnership, some of our accommodation properties have developed a program to support teams and organizations who currently host events in our community, or who are contemplating hosting an event in the future. This support will be valuable to organizers and will ultimately assist in enhancing our current events and entice local groups and organizations to consider bringing regional, provincial and even national events into our community.
A vibrant tourism industry will benefit many sectors of our business community, as visitors will frequent our restaurants, gas stations, retail outlets and attractions.
