An Eventful Weekend!
Cornwall, ON – August 19 2017 — Mark your calendars! Cornwall will be the place to be on Saturday, August 19th. There will be a number of special events happening in the city that will surely fit everyone’s interest. Want to attend more than one of these events? No problem. Most events are all downtown and within walking distance! Check out everything going on down below:
This one’s for all the music and beer lovers out there. Join Cornwall’s largest 19+ outdoor summer event. The Barley and Hops Tour will include 11 musical performances and 2 stages. Come rock out and drink some beverages from LaBatt Brewing Company, a whiskey tent and 9 brewers!
MusicFest will be held at the NAV Centre and will cost 40$ at the gate (30$ advance). Check here for more information.
Foodies rejoice! Downtown Cornwall brings you a food lineup like never before. On Pitt Street, there will be local restaurants, mobile food trucks, live entertainment, a beer garden, downtown shops/merchants with special sales and +30 artisans displaying and selling their art. What sounds better than that!
Grab a beer, get some awesome food and enjoy live music from 10am-8pm. Visit the official website for more information, including the food lineup.
This is a full-day convention for any lovers of anime, comics, pop culture and gamers. Dress up in cosplay costumes and attend this wonderful event in the park. There will be contests, informative panels, talented artist, unique exhibitors and more! The contests include a Pokémon Pageant Contest, a Costume Contest/Mini Masquerade, and a Super Mario Kart Tournament.
The event will be held from 11am-5pm at the Lamoureux Park Bandshell and Waterfront area. Fees are $5/person ($10 if accompanying a child under 12 and not costumed). Click here for more information.
All car enthusiasts must attend the Kinsmen Car Show where 200+ vehicles will be showcased – from classic 1930’s muscle cars to 2017 electric vehicles. This event is FREE and will be located in Lamoureux Park across the waterfront. Gates open at 6:00am for participants and vendors 9:00am for public.

For all the history buffs, this one is for you! You will have free access to historical sites within Cornwall including the Cornwall Museum, the Ontario Power Generator Centre and the Historic Cornwall Jail.
