Downtown Summer Celebration: Are You ‘Down’ for a ‘Town’ Celebration?
Cornwall, ON – July 27, 2017 — Who doesn’t love a summer celebration, especially one that includes sales and discounts? I certainly do! The Downtown District will be celebrating summer in a special way from July 27-30 (Thursday-Sunday).
Select businesses within the downtown district will be staying open late, having special discounts/sales and having special activities for customers. With thousands of people expecting to attend Ribfest in Lamoureux Park and the Watchtower Convention at the Civic Complex, businesses thought it would be a great opportunity to promote a downtown celebration.
This is happening at the same time as Ribfest in Lamoureux Park. So get yourself some ribs, cross the street onto Pitt St., and come support some of our local stores and restaurants!
Gordon Jewellers: Participating July 27-29 with tax included on all sales, with the exception of Q-Ray bracelets.
Laser Advance Spa: Extended hours – open July 29-30
Schnitzel’s European Flavours: Drink specials including $20 on select pitchers of beer, and $1 per ounce wine on-tap (some restrictions apply).
Cailuan Gallery: Painting live on site each day.
Life’s Little Pleasures: A sidewalk sale with 50% off items as well as other in-store incentives.
Love Yoga: Free yoga class on Friday the 28th at 9:15 am.
Alpins Interiors: Selected bedding up to 70% off Thursday through Saturday.
Kid’s Korner: Open late throughout the weekend, summer clearance sidewalk sale.
The Squire Shop: a sidewalk sale Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Kings and Little Ones Barber Shop: 25% off ManSoap all-natural products, including beard oils, beard balms, and small batch cold process soaps.
www.downtowncornwall.ca will be updating the list of participants in real time.

Christmas spirit is alive and well in Cornwall and the Counties as Upper Canada Village's Alight at Night and The Alexandria Festival of Lights prepare to light up the region with their spectacular displays of Christmas lights.
One of the most fascinating displays of culture occurs at the Akwesasne International Powwow. On September 6 - 7, celebrate the traditions of the First Nation people.
