Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary
The Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary spans more than 9000 hectares of various ecosystems that are home to close to 200 waterfowl, raptor and passerine, among many other bird species. The over eight kilometres of self-guided nature trails will have you winding through wildlife habitats such as mature upland forest, wetlands, open water and old fields, by foot, or by ski or snowshoe. The summer months offer camping opportunities, while the spring and fall offer bird banding, feeding and educational programs. Much more than a park, the Bird Sanctuary gives visitors an opportunity to experience nature and a vibrant wildlife in a wide range of environments.
