Tour Itinerary: Nature and Outdoors

Here is a fun tour that will let your group discover the natural beauty of the Seaway Valley countryside.

DAY 1 - A Day In The Marsh and The Forest
We invite you to join us mid morning and spend the next few hours at the Cooper Marsh Conservation area. While there you can take a stroll along the 5 kms of boardwalks and trails and enjoy the life in the marsh taking photos, or examine the many displays in the Visitor Centre.

Lunch has many possibilities - waterfront restaurants, outdoor patios or authentic Austrian cuisine - all only a few minutes drive from the Marsh. Spend the afternoon at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary. The fall is a freat time to Visit as they conduct feeding and banding of one of the largest concentrations of Canada geese.

After all of that fresh air, return to Cornwall and enjoy a leisurely dinner. Choose from fine dining establishments featuring steak, chicken, seafood, or pasta or go for a more casual atmosphere and try pizza from a wood oven or our own Lancaster Perch rolls - there is something for everyone.

A short stroll through the Downtown or Le Village areas provides shoppers with many specialty shops or a chance to experience the atmosphere of a coffee house. Before you return to your hotel for a well deserved rest enjoy a short stroll in Lamoureux Park where you can spend the evening enjoying an open air concert or theatrical presentation, or take in the comedy hour at Freddy’s Roadhouse.

DAY 2 - History and Nature Combined
After breakfast spend the morning with the dinosaurs! Prehistoric World in Morrisburg features over 50 full-size reproductions of prehistoric animals, all set in a 1 km nature trail. Wonderful photo opportunities abound.

Lunch on the terrace at the MacIntosh Inn or 1860's style at Upper Canada Village, and then more fresh air .... a train ride and a walk about at Upper Canada Village, a historic working village.
