The original building erected in 1843 as a convent and boarding school, burned down in 1900. The present building, constructed in 1906, was designated a Heritage Building in 1978 and is now the headquarters of Cornwall Township Historical Society.

The Centre houses a museum depicting life during the turn of the century, and a branch of the SD&G Counties Library.

Open on request in July & August.
