The ruins of St. Raphael's Church stands as a significant physical reference to the establishment of the Roman Catholic Church in Upper Canada.
Until the 1840's it was the largest and most important parish in the area.
After suffering a major fire, the "ruins" has been retained as a national historic monument and the site of numerous special events.
