The Historic Cornwall Jail at 11 Water Street. |
Built in 1834, the Jail operated until 2002 when it was closed as part of a province wide restructuring. The cell blocks, common areas, exercise yard and visitation area have been maintained as they were when they were populated by inmates sentenced to jail time.
Tours of the Jail are available during the summer months. Self-guided tours are available other times. A booklet is provided to assist in exploring each of the 22 major areas of the Jail.
