Pumpkinferno will have a fresh look this October
Cornwall, ON – October 1, 2014 – Cornwall and the Counties’ acclaimed annual event, Pumpkinferno, returns with a fresh new look, ready to repeat as the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) “Tourism Event of the Year.”
After receiving a $75,000 cash injection from Celebrate Ontario, Pumpkinferno will experience a new look to their highly anticipated event that will now feature nearly 6,000 hand carved artificial pumpkins.
Visitors will follow a walking route throughout the historic Upper Canada Village with a variety of spectacular designs that stretch the imagination, created by combining sometimes hundreds of pumpkins into massive creations.
Returning are some of the popular exhibits, but the event will feature many newly imagined designs and exhibits that give the event a splash of freshness to create a brand new feel for both new and returning visitors alike. Visitors will be spellbound by recreations of story book heroes, forest animals, mythical characters and so much more in this unique and eclectic art display.
Pumpkinferno is a beautiful autumn event that is perfect for the entire family. In a season that showcases some great, scary Halloween themed events, Pumpkinferno represents a completely family friendly event, combining stunning artistry, awe-inspiring light and sound shows, an autumn stroll through one of the region’s most popular attractions.
Pumpkinferno will be open on select nights throughout the month of October, and tickets can be purchased at the event, but visitors are strongly encouraged to purchase beforehand online here to gain express entry and avoid lines.
