“Something Smells Fishy in Here”: Pro-Bass Tournament
Cornwall, ON – August 2 2017 – Attention all fishermen and fishing enthusiasts, this is an event you don’t want to miss. The two last qualifier tournaments for the Pro Bass Canada fishing tour will be taking place in Cornwall!
The first weekend of August will be a fishy one with two different tournaments happening separately on Saturday and Sunday.
The Pro 150 Max Tournament: Saturday August 5th, 6:30am-4:00pm, Guindon Park, Cornwall, ON
The Elite Tournament: Sunday August 6th, 6:30am-5:30pm, St. Francois Lake, South Glengarry, ON
The last Pro-Bass Canada Tournament that came into Cornwall reeled in fishermen from all over Quebec, Massena, Akwesasne and as far as Massachusetts. There should be similar results this coming weekend, especially since this is the last tournament before the classics.
The competitors work in teams of two anglers to catch the biggest and heaviest Bass possible. The minimum length for each kept Bass is 12 inches. If not, the fishers receive a ½ pound penalty.
Visitors are welcome to attend this event as spectators, and watch these fishermen try to catch the largest Bass they can. Visitors are also welcome to participate in the tournament by filling a registration form on the Pro Bass Canada Website.
The winners of the tournament will receive a Pincecraft boat, Mercury Motor, Galvanized Trailer and a Travel Cover and Sonar. The prizes in the Elite tournament are worth $1,000 while in the Pro 150 they are worth $750.
For more information or to register for the tournament, please visit the Pro Bass Canada website.

Christmas spirit is alive and well in Cornwall and the Counties as Upper Canada Village's Alight at Night and The Alexandria Festival of Lights prepare to light up the region with their spectacular displays of Christmas lights.
One of the most fascinating displays of culture occurs at the Akwesasne International Powwow. On September 6 - 7, celebrate the traditions of the First Nation people.
